Reporting to the Architectural Specialties Human Resources Manager, the Safety & HR Generalist/Manager leads the development and implementation of site safety programs focused on achieving zero recordables and lost workday injuries. This role ensures regulatory compliance, manages safety systems, and provides onsite HR support across recruitment, onboarding, policy administration, employee relations, and engagement initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain site safety programs and policies.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments; recommend and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead Site Safety Committee meetings and facilitate employee participation.
  • Investigate incidents, support root cause analysis, and coordinate injury reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with WorkSafe BC, Armstrong Safety Standards, and site-specific regulations.
  • Deliver safety training and provide technical EHS support.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource, managing recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee relations.
  • Administer benefits, compensation, and leave processes; ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and prepare reports for leadership.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, occupational health & safety, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of combined experience in safety management and human resources within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws and Colorado worker's comp regulation
  • Experience conducting safety audits, supporting incident investigations, and managing HR functions such as onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
