Engineer I, New Product Introduction

We are seeking a skilled NPI Manufacturing Engineering Professional to support the introduction of new processes and products into production and manage the relocation of processes and products to other manufacturing sites. This role is critical in ensuring smooth transitions, maintaining quality standards, and driving efficiency across our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:



  • Develop and coordinate manufacturing processes for new product introductions and product relocations across sites.
  • Perform root cause analysis on materials, processes, and products to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback to product design teams to optimize production readiness.
  • Create and maintain documentation to support NPI efforts and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Train production staff on new procedures and processes to ensure successful implementation.
  • Support internal manufacturing projects and coordinate engineering builds.
  • Utilize CAD tools to communicate design feedback effectively to cross-functional teams.
  • Travel up to 15% including international



More about you:



  • Bachelor's Degree required; Engineering or advanced degree preferred
  • 1+ year in NPI or Manufacturing Engineering; medical device experience and regulatory knowledge preferred
  • Analytical problem-solving, cross-functional teamwork, clear technical communication, results-driven, and continuous learning mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, engineering software, and CAD


A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova

This role's pay range is between: $75,200 - $94,000. This role is also bonus eligible.
