Job Description

The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is seeking an Assistant Director of On-Campus Recruiting to support the development of the Mizzou Football program. This position is responsible for creating a first-class recruiting experience for prospective student-athletes and their families while ensuring compliance with NCAA, Conference, and Institutional policies. The role supports the program's competitive recruiting strategy by managing visit logistics, coordinating internal stakeholders, and enhancing the program's brand and engagement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Official and Unofficial Visit Coordination (35%)

* Plan, organize, and execute all aspects of official and unofficial recruiting visits, including game-day visits, junior days, camps, and special recruiting events.
* Develop detailed visit itineraries, schedules, and hospitality plans to ensure a seamless and high-impact experience.
* Serve as the primary on-campus contact for prospective student-athletes, families, coaches, and recruiting support staff during visits.

2. Recruiting Operations and Logistics Management (30%)

* Coordinate campus logistics including facility access, meals, transportation, lodging, and meetings with campus partners.
* Manage recruiting calendars, visit databases, and tracking systems to support recruiting decision-making.
* Assist with travel arrangements and logistics related to recruiting activities as assigned.

3. Recruiting Communication and Coordination (20%)

* Collaborate with the Director of Recruiting, coaching staff, creative/media teams, and operations staff to align recruiting messaging and strategy.
* Assist with recruiting communications, confirmations, and follow-ups with prospects and families.
* Support the coordination of recruiting-related content, presentations, and materials used during visits.

4. Program Branding, Engagement and Experience Enhancement (10%)

* Contribute to the development of a distinctive on-campus recruiting experience that reflects the football program's culture, values, and competitive identity.
* Assist with special events, photo/video opportunities, and engagement initiatives designed to enhance the overall recruiting atmosphere.
* Support innovative ideas to improve the prospect experience and strengthen the program's recruiting footprint.

5. Administrative and Special Projects (5%)

* Assist with recruiting reports, evaluations, and internal communications as requested.
* Support additional football operations or recruiting-related projects assigned by the Director of Recruiting or Head Coach.

Shift

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm; Nights and Weekends as required by events.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with NCAA Division I Football is preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $53,000 - $63,000 (year)

Grade: GGS-9E
