OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company is seeking LiDAR/GIS Technician for a full time position for our Greenwood Village, CO office. Responsibilities will require excellent computer skills and able to have/obtain the knowledge of processing Airborne LiDAR from start to finish. Primary responsibilities of this individual(s) will be to filter anomalies in the point cloud, effectively point out any problems or inconsistencies with the data and effectively place break-lines to enhance the DTM as required by the project specifications. The candidate must have strong dedication to quality and efficiency to succeed in this position.

Typical hourly pay range for this position is $20.00/hr. - $22.00/hr. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This position will be located in our Greenwood Village, CO office. A hybrid work schedule may be supported.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Review aerial Lidar point cloud data classification for correctness.
  • Manually classify/filter aerial Lidar point cloud data
  • Collect and edit line work for hydrographic feature data set.
  • Ability to handle daily, repetitive, computer based tasks

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School or GED required
  • Associates Degree preferred but not required
  • GIS knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience in photogrammetry mapping and LiDAR data processing (preferred but not required)
    • Flight planning
    • Data Management
    • Principles of Geodesy
    • GIS
    • Photogrammetry
    • Ortho Production
  • Cartographic Design
  • Knowledge in the following software package is a plus:
    • Bentley Software
    • AutoCAD
    • ArcGIS
    • Terra Solid Products
