Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assemble and build any type of engine, following industry standard assembly techniques.
* Measure components to close tolerances.
* Set and verify part clearances.
* Use measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
* Use of required hand tools.
* Engine build record keeping with component history data.
Education and Experience (required):
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 4 years of engine build experience.

Education and Experience (preferred):
* Associate degree or post high school education in an automotive related field.
* Experience with powertrain calibration diagnostics and controls.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required):
* Ability to operate typical shop equipment (hoists, jacks, hand tools, etc.).
* Ability to diagnose engine mechanical issues.
* Must have basic computer skills and excellent organizational skills.
* Must be flexible and eager to learn.
* Must pay strong attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with excellent customer service skills.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (preferred):
* Ability to complete engine teardown/build skills and able to follow 543 charts.
* Able to perform simple fabrications.
* Ability to weld and perform basic wiring tasks.
* Ability to diagnose electrical issues.
* Ability to set-up and test using an engine dynamometer.
* Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends..
