Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager - Irrigation / Pool & Spa owns regional strategy and growth for key irrigation and pool/spa accounts across the Western US. This role is field-driven and strategic, focused on increasing market share, strengthening distributor and buying group relationships, and optimizing rep agency performance.

This is a remote role, requiring residence near a major airport west of the Mississippi (preferred: Southern CA, Phoenix, or DFW) with 60-70% travel. Primary emphasis is on irrigation, with working knowledge of pool & spa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a regional business plan for strategic irrigation and pool/spa accounts

  • Grow market share and reclaim lost business through focused account strategies

  • Identify new growth opportunities within existing and emerging channels

  • Partner with regional leadership of National Irrigation & Pool/Spa Accounts, including

  • Engage regional irrigation and pool/spa distributors such as

  • Collaborate with National Buying Groups including

  • Evaluate account relevance, positioning, and go-forward strategies to strengthen partnerships

  • Evaluate and optimize the rep agency network to improve performance and coverage

  • Conduct product training, presentations, and joint sales calls

  • Provide weekly market activity reports and monthly territory performance analyses

  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions

  • Manage the Travel & Entertainment budget to maximize ROI

  • Maintain strong product and technical knowledge through ongoing education and industry engagement

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of sales management experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (business or related field)

  • Strong background in irrigation markets (distribution, buying groups, or manufacturers)

  • Proven ability to develop and execute regional sales strategies

  • Experience working with:

    • Large distributors

    • Buying groups

    • Rep agency models

  • Willingness and ability to travel 60-70% within the region

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Background in pipe, fittings, or building products

  • Demonstrated success regaining lost market share

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to present complex products and conduct hands-on demonstrations
