As the Administrative Intern at the Kenan Institute for Ethics, you'll play a key role in supporting the Cherokee Language and Culture learning experience, helping students thrive in a unique and meaningful academic setting.

This position offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on student success and cultural education. You'll collaborate with faculty and students to create engaging resources and activities that bring Cherokee language and culture to life.


What You'll Do:


  • Provide administrative support for the Cherokee Language and Culture instructor.
  • Develop resources for student use in class and for independent study.
  • Assist in designing assessments, homework, and classroom activities.
  • Support classroom instruction and help with grading.
  • Hold tutoring hours to provide additional academic support for students.
  • Maintain organized records of student progress and class materials.
  • Coordinate scheduling for tutoring sessions and classroom activities.
  • Prepare and distribute classroom handouts and digital learning materials.
  • Assist with basic data entry and tracking for program-related activities.

Anticipated Pay Range:

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.00 to USD $22.84. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
