Job Description:
Works as part-time or vacation temporary help in different technical tasks and operations. You will support the delivery of technical solutions and consulting services related to electrical power systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers and consultants to analyze, model, and optimize power systems for industrial, commercial, and utility clients. This internship offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools and technologies in energy automation, grid modernization, and digital power systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and enhancing automation tools (Python, VB scripts, etc.) based on PSS/E, TSAT, and/or PSCAD.
  • Analyze system performance data and contribute to improvement of reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project delivery and client engagements.
  • Participate in site visits, data collection, and commissioning activities as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends, standards, and technologies in power systems and energy automation.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Currently pursuing Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Understanding of electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, distribution, and protection.
  • Strong Python programming skill for data analysis or tool customization.
  • Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., PowerWorld, PSSE , MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, PSCAD).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
