| Powell Farm is seeking applicants for seasonal staff to support all day-to-day operations for Cranberry Township's Powell Farm with the establishing of orchards and small fruit production from approximately April-November at a starting rate of $15.25/hour. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining consistent crop planning, processing, packaging and inventory, preparing and maintaining fields, including soil management, crop and produce planting, and general grounds management. Applicants normally work 40 hours per week, but flexible scheduling is available. Occasional weekend and evening work may be necessary. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and be willing to obtain background clearances required under Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law upon hire. Previous related experience in crop management and farm operations preferred, including using farm/heavy equipment. Position requires physical labor including standing for extended periods of time, lifting materials, and working on ladders as needed. | |
