Division: Finance


Department: Treasury


Reports to: SVP, Deputy Treasurer


Status: Exempt


Grade: 10


Salary Range: $60,805 - $101,245


Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.


Location: Boston, MA - 131 Clarendon St




Principal Objective


Execute Treasury functions including investment portfolio and funding management, asset/liability modeling, and ALCO reporting.



Principal Duties and Responsibilities


Treasury Function



  • Manage investment portfolio under direction of Senior Analyst and prepare reporting and analytics
  • Manage borrowing portfolio under direction of Senior Analyst and prepare reporting and analytics
  • Manage liquidity as well as FHLB and FRB loan collateral to maximize borrowing lines
  • Provide backup for Treasury staff
  • Provide backup for Cash Management Staff
  • Assist in preparing Treasury-related information for 10-Q, 10-K and Call reports



ALM/Budget Modeling



  • Manage ALCO process and coordinates reporting and meeting minutes and agenda
  • Process data feeds from various subsystems, resolving errors and omissions
  • Maintain databases of investments, deposits and funding to feed to the asset/liability model
  • Update forecasts of target balances, originations, and pricing as provided by product line managers
  • Update prepayment speed assumptions based upon analysis of internal prepayment experience
  • Process simulated results for a variety of alternative interest-rate forecasts, including rate ramps and yield curve rotations and rate shocks


Job Specifications (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required)



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 1-3 years of banking experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in asset/liability and/or budgeting disciplines in banking industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and within deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills; initiative and good judgment.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Ability to understand and create basic financial statements for Management's analyses.
  • Aptitude with computer software (General Ledger, MS Word, Windows and Excel).
