Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Rochester, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Integration and Test department is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician.
  • Working under general supervision, the Technician will apply their knowledge of Electrical Technology and Electronics to engage in functional testing, verification, and validation of electronic, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems.
  • Test involvement will include, but is not limited to, test preparation, test execution, operation of custom test sets, operation of test-related equipment, recording data, and reporting data.
  • The candidate will provide support for product testing as well as set up and integration of test equipment.
  • Speaks clearly and concisely, presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $34-$35/hr.

Hours: 980 - Reg - 1st shift.

Length: Temp (6 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing/production.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree with 2 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with electronics test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and cables.
  • Demonstrated experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, C++, Python, etc.
  • Experience with the Mate/De-mate of Flight cables.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Experience working in the Aerospace or Defense industry.
  • Experience in manufacturing or prototyping environments.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Must be able to read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
  • Ability to identify problems and suggest solutions.
  • Demonstrates appropriate computer knowledge.
  • Understands and adheres to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices.
  • Must be able to perform as an individual contributor as well as within a team environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Able to communicate with engineers and other employees on the floor, with clear and concise communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and a problem solver.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.
  • Willingness to work overtime, shift work, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around for long periods.
  • Able to lift to 30 lbs.
