We are seeking a Transportation Contact Center Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced call center environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, compassionate support to members navigating transportation benefits and services.

Hours & Pay:



  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • $20.00 per hour
  • Long-term temporary assignment through December 2026, with potential consideration for permanent roles

What You'll Do Each Day:



  • Respond to inbound and outbound calls related to member transportation benefits and issues
  • Provide clear, accurate benefit information while treating every caller with respect and dignity
  • Schedule transportation with providers using cost-effective solutions
  • Resolve member inquiries through research and established procedures, escalating issues as needed
  • Identify and process potential grievances and appeals following the required guidelines
  • Document all calls and contacts clearly and accurately per department standards
  • Respond to elevated transportation issues and express requests
  • Issue Designation of Authorized Representative forms
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve complex member concerns
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and privacy regulations
  • Meet established call center performance metrics for call volume, answer speed, hold time, and abandonment rate
  • Attend required training sessions and departmental meetings


What We're Looking For:



  • Associate degree or three years of equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and call center systems
  • Excellent phone-based customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Medical Assistance, Medicare, and member privacy regulations preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams
  • Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Professional demeanor, reliability, and commitment to confidentiality
