Job Summary

The Associate Director brings a market-forward approach to enrollment, combining strategic recruitment practice with modern marketing and communications expertise. Works closely with the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid to provide high level service in a dynamic setting to the College's Juris Doctor. Corresponds with prospective students, applicants, alumni and pre-law advisors.

  • Oversees the JD recruitment activities of the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid and may act on behalf of the Director in his/her absence as it relates to admissions, outreach, and recruitment matters.
  • Represents the FIU College of Law at student recruitment events, both locally and nationally. These include career fairs, forums, undergraduate events, pre-law programs, etc.
  • Keeps abreast of trends, education policies, and best practices through professional development opportunities. Provides recommendations to leadership based on learning outcomes. Presents at conferences, seminars, professional development workshops, etc.
  • Collaborates with the Digital Marketing Manager and Director of Recruitment on the annual review of both electronic and print admissions/recruitment publications including but not limited to fact sheets, view books, program brochures, bulletins, applications and videos.
  • Compiles, maintains, updates, and analyzes law school admissions statistics and College data, and reports such data for internal, external, and ranking purposes. Develops, interprets, and disseminates weekly, monthly, and annual statistical reports.
  • Supervises support staff performance, providing timely
  • feedback and all necessary training to ensure objectives are achieved in the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid in oversight of the Law Ambassador Program. Participates in recruitment, staffing, and supervision of students selected for the program.
  • Serves as the University's credit card user for departmental transactions. Adheres to University's credit card policies and procedures.
  • Analyzes engagement metrics, adjust outreach strategies in real time, and continuously refine recruitment efforts to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving enrollment landscape.
  • Responsible for designing and executing data-informed recruitment and yield strategies that leverage digital marketing, social media, CRM-driven communications, and emerging engagement platforms to reach prospective students where they are.
  • Corresponds with prospective students, applicants, alumni, pre-law advisors, and others seeking information on admissions standards and application procedures.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's and seven (7) years of related experience OR Master's degree and five (5) years of related experience OR a JD and three (3) years of experience.



Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with admissions in a higher education environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience presenting information to a large audience.
