Job Summary

Under administrative direction is responsible for management or coordination of a function(s) for a department, or a group of professionals. Makes decisions using independent judgement and originates new concepts or approaches, policies and procedures and directs their implementation. Requires knowledge of business administration and office practices and procedures in order to perform moderately complex duties in supporting operations of a department or unit. Coordinates and manages special functions and activities. May supervise and evaluate, as needed, the work of others and is accountable for the work of the unit.

  • Supervises the maintenance and support of Panther180, Faculty Activity Reporting. Ensures timely response for issues that arise.
  • Troubleshoots College questions about faculty personnel actions. Retains accurate records of faculty actions taken upon receipt of each HR form for faculty for reporting purposes.
  • Manages the electronic credentialing request process. This includes system upgrades, data integration with PSHR-education, reports, instructional material and training for users. The accuracy of the information submitted is essential to the integration of this information to the Person Profile.
  • Runs tenure calculation and ensures accuracy of tenure eligibility end dates. Submits updates to tenure/promotion information and communicates any changes to academic units.
  • Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of system projects related to the Office of the Provost, Planning and Finance.
  • Provides oversight to the PSHR Person Profile Education Page to ensure data integrity. Makes corrections and/or communicates updates to HR regarding the school/institution code table as needed.
  • Coordinates the tenure panel maintenance.
  • Lead Search and Screen Committee support including providing training to search committees on best practices for effective recruitment, Makes recommendations for further developing faculty recruitment in consultation with the department of Faculty Leadership and Success.
  • Assists the Panther180 faculty customer support staff to ensure project goals are accomplished and faculty concerns are served.
  • Supervises and provides leadership for maintaining official transcripts maintained via ImageNow for all instructional faculty of the University.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position
  • Serves as the unit approver for the electronic request for additional compensation and backup for faculty contracts.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of appropriate experience, or Master's degree and two (2) years of experience.

  • Experience working in Human Resources.
  • Experience working in Higher Education Institutions.
  • Experience working with Academic Affairs.
