JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The School of Engineering at Penn State Behrend has a need for part-time Instructors in engineering disciplines for the Spring (January 2026) and Fall (August 2026) semesters.

Positions are dependent upon class enrollments; enrollments of less than nine students may necessitate canceling the class and position. Salary is competitive. Responsibilities include using a syllabus and course materials approved by the School of Engineering to teach courses offered in our baccalaureate programs.

Required qualifications include:

  • Evidence of an earned Master of Science degree in an engineering discipline or a baccalaureate degree with significant industrial experience
  • Evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching including the use of current technology
  • Evidence of a commitment to working collegially and with individuals from diverse backgrounds, commensurate with experience.
