This position maybe filled as a Construction Specialist or one level higher as a Senior Construction Specialist depending upon the selected candidate's experience. This role reports directly to the Manager of Construction for Renewables and collaborates with and supports designated Project Managers. This Construction Specialist position holds sole accountability for overseeing construction activities on PMC-supported projects, with project values ranging from approximately $10 million to $2 billion. The individual in this position is responsible for ensuring that all critical field construction success factors are achieved. These factors include, but are not limited to, meeting project scope, adhering to schedules, controlling costs, maintaining quality standards, ensuring environmental compliance, upholding safety protocols, facilitating effective communications, managing commissioning activities, and supporting integration efforts. Serving as the central point of coordination in the field, the Sr. Construction Specialist provides leadership, management, direction, coordination, and control throughout the execution phase of each project. All activities are conducted in alignment with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements set forth by Duke Energy. Certifications/Training:
Basic Required Qualifications - Construction Specialist HS/GED and 5 plus years work related experience. Basic Required Qualifications - Senior Construction Specialist Associate's degree (technical/related) and 8 plus years work related experience OR HS/GED and 10 plus years work related experience in lieu of a degree.
