Job Summary

We're looking for a reliable, energetic Full-Time Facility Attendant to help keep our center running smoothly and our community thriving. In this role, you'll support a wide range of programs-including childcare, preschool, camps, classes, rentals, and special events-while working closely with staff and community members.

As a Facility Attendant, you'll be at the heart of our customer experience, ensuring our operations run safely and efficiently and that every visitor feels welcome. Being a go-to team member, keep our space safe and have fun by ensuring everyone follows facility rules and guidelines. The ideal candidate is proactive, communicates clearly, and enjoys engaging with a vibrant, diverse community.

We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
* Lucketts Community Center, Leesburg, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Support a variety of programs, events, and activities for all ages, from classes and camps to rentals and special events.
* Ensure the setup and breakdown of spaces and equipment for various indoor and outdoor programs, events, and rentals, and manage exciting large inflatables (like bounce houses!) to help ensure that programs and events are successful.
* Conduct daily safety checks and document them to keep everything running smoothly. Keep management informed of maintenance needs promptly.
* Be the friendly face at the front desk-Assist with registrations, fee collection, paperwork, and answering questions from the community
* Support programs, events, and activities for all ages, including stepping in to help classrooms, camps, and other programs as needed.
* Operate county vehicles when required to support programs and operations
* May carry out additional critical job responsibilities pertinent to the specific role and departmental assignment.


Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age; High school diploma or equivalent; depending on assignment; six (6) months experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities may be required. Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Bilingual candidates are highly desired. PRCS serves a diverse population, including youth, adults, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.
*Ability to provide exceptional customer service and support a wide range of programming for all ages and abilities.
*Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions accurately.
*Experience working in recreation, community programs, or a similar setting.
*Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box to enhance programs and events.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with staff, participants, and visitors of all ages.
*Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently when needed.


Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Must undergo fingerprinting, criminal, credit, DMV, and Child Protective Services (CPS) background checks. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. Must pass a TB screening test within 30 days before the hire date and every other year thereafter. Complete education and training requirements to meet Virginia license requirements for the position. Obtain from an approved provider First Aid/CPR/AED (infant through adult) certification prior to hire or within 30 days of hire.
*Ability to consistently lift/move 50 pounds
*Ability to stoop, bend, and work indoors/outdoors in all weather.
*Flexibility in scheduling is crucial. Must be able to work a variety of evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and some day shifts as required.
