Security Officer - Access Control Specialist

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Saint Pauls, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and providing excellent customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms to support access control operations.
• Enforce policies and procedures specific to the food and beverage environment to help to maintain order.
• Document incidents and activities as required by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
