As a Security Officer - Academic Patrol Coverage in PHILADELPHIA, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential disturbances.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
