Overview
We are seeking a contractor to serve as a key liaison between Data Privacy, Legal, Clinical, and R&D teams. This role supports the development and operationalization of secure processes to collect, transfer, and use medical data from hospitals to drive innovation. The position focuses on standardizing data agreements, conducting privacy assessments, improving data transfer and intake processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance in support of machine learning and new clinical features. Key Responsibilities
Partner with Legal, Privacy, Clinical, and R&D to standardize data agreement templates. Conduct global privacy impact assessments related to medical data transfers and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Operationalize tools and templates for collecting medical data metadata to improve usability and security. Define processes for collecting clinical data from hospitals and clinical trials for R&D use. Establish and document procedures for medical data intake and management with Data Engineering. Support initiatives to organize medical data for machine learning model development and verification. Coordinate prioritization of data collection needs across leadership and subject matter experts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Operations, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics) and 4+ years of related experience. Experience managing and reviewing legal contracts. 2-4 years of experience in change management and process development/execution. Foundational knowledge of medical data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR). Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in healthcare, clinical research, or medical device environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong organizational, project management, documentation, and continuous improvement skills. Experience with healthcare, clinical, or medical imaging data. Knowledge of clinical trial operations, data collection systems, and data transfer technologies. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, Agile methodologies, and Microsoft 365 (including Copilot). Foundational knowledge of medical data standards and/or medical device regulations (e.g., FDA, MDR).
