Our Women's PACU is seeking an experienced PACU Nurse for a full-time position averaging 36 hours/week.

Schedule: 12 hours shifts with 1-2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule with on call requirement. Staff covers 600-2330 with night shift and on call requirement. Team rotates to night shift 2 weeks at a time, about 2-3 times a year for coverage

Our unit is a 32-bay Preoperative and PACU department caring for patients before and after their General Gynecology, Gynecological Oncology, Urological Gynecology, and Robotic procedures. We care for 30 patients a day on average, 75% of which go home same day from the PACU. Our acuity ranges from benign procedures to extensive oncology cases.

RN PACU Qualifications:

  • Experience - 1 year of PACU or Critical Care (ICU/ED) nursing experience
  • Certification - Basic Life Support through AHA
  • Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse

  • Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
