WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Senior Recruiter will lead full cycle recruiting efforts for, service, skilled trade, operations and corporate positions across the entire company's footprint. This role will independently manage recruiting strategies, source experienced and entry-level talent, and partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to fill critical roles. This position will also play a key role in evaluating and improving recruiting processes, strengthening talent pipelines, building relationships with technical schools and industry sources, and developing long-term workforce strategies. This position will report to the Senior Recruiting Manager based in LaVergne, Tennessee, and will be responsible for recruiting in all markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for technical, skilled trade, operations and corporate roles, partnering with department leaders to understand staffing needs and drive hiring strategies.
  • Source, attract, and engage candidates using tools such as Paycor, Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, resume databases, industry networks, referrals, and other recruiting platforms.
  • Conduct thorough interviews via phone, video, and in person, ensuring high-quality candidate assessment and selection.
  • Advise hiring managers by providing labor market insights, competitive intelligence, compensation benchmarking, and recruitment best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of qualified candidates for high-volume and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with technical/trade schools, instructors, industry organizations, workforce groups, and community partners to support long-term recruiting needs.
  • Represent Thompson Machinery at career fairs, recruiting events, and community outreach initiatives; coordinate and execute recruiting events and facility tours.
  • Promote a high-quality candidate experience by communicating expectations, timelines, company culture, mission, and values.
  • Create and enhance recruiting materials, campaigns, and branding tools in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Train and support hiring managers in recruiting processes, interviewing techniques, and compliance.
  • Travel between Thompson Machinery locations and recruiting sites as needed.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS


  • 5-7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in any industry; experience in technical, skilled trades, or industrial environments strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or specialized recruiting/talent acquisition training preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies, build pipelines, and fill high-volume or hard-to-fill roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into recruiting action plans.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), applicant tracking systems, and online recruitment tools.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and leading collaborative hiring initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence hiring managers and leaders.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel to events, locations, and meetings as required.
  • Maintain professional appearance, demeanor, and representation of company values.
  • Strong customer service mindset, with the ability to support both internal and external customers.
  • Prior experience in fast-paced, multi-location recruiting environments is a plus.
