The Maintenance Tech Assists in the day-to-day facility upkeep, including manufacturing/distribution equipment repair and preventative maintenance to assure the facility and equipment are maintained in top condition. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I (0 - 24 MONTH PERIOD)
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II Upon completion of Technician I
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN III Upon completion of Technician II
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN LEAD Alternate Title
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities but requires some leadership qualities as the team member will work with minimal supervision. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Industrial mechanic's degree or certification required with an electrical/mechanical repair background, plus a minimum of 5 to 8 years related work experience. Facility maintenance experiences a plus. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION Must have a valid driver's license. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
