Job Description

Visa is heavily investing in its Global Design Team to help support its growing digital product line. We are looking for an Associate Designer to join our team.

We believe that great design has the ability to engage and inspire users, and we strive to rethink and redefine how users interact with Visa's products and services. In this role, you will model UX - UI principles. The Associate Designer is an individual contributor responsible for designing usable, accessible and engaging user experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an advocate for our users.

  • Design usable, accessible and engaging digital experiences.

  • Collaborate with our cross-functional product and business teams and build upon their vision using sound design principles to ensure alignment and project success.

  • Capture requirements, design flows, wireframes, prototypes and fully fleshed out designs.

  • Document designs and consult with engineers to ensure they are built and function as intended.

  • Effectively demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

This is a hybrid position.Expectationofdays intheoffice will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

-2 or more years of work experience

Behavioral Skills

-Able to clearly articulate design decisions to team members and stakeholders

including product, technology and design leadership teams.

-Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor

-Able to collaborate with business partners to build upon their vision using

sound design principles and identify key opportunities for improved user

experiences.

-Exhibits an extreme attention to detail

-Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and

manage multiple projects

-Self-starter who brings energy and enthusiasm to the work environment

-Experience working in design consultancies, digital product teams, or

established startups which gives you a sense of how to interact with clients

and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills

-4 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work

experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MFA/MBA, etc.) -

preferably working in design consultancies, digital product, or established

startups

-4 years working as a product or digital designer as part of an in-house, agency,

or cross-functional design or innovation team

-Strong fluency in digital design software including Figma, FigJam, and Adobe

products

-Experience designing high-fidelity mockups, wireframes, and rapid prototyping

-Knowledgeable in human-centered design thinking, UX/UI principles, service

design, and user research

-Strong understanding of accessibility principles and best practices

-Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

-Ability to communicate concepts and recommendations confidently to various

audiences

Additional Information

Work Authorization:Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 88,000.00 to 124,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
