Join the Ramily! Winston-Salem State University seeks a friendly, enthusiastic, dedicated Admissions Counselor to join our team. As the first point of contact for students, parents, and high school counselors, you will play a crucial role in attracting and enrolling the next generation of Winston-Salem State University students.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Engagement:
- Serve as the welcoming face and primary contact for prospective students, parents, and high school counselors.
- Answer incoming calls, make outbound calls, and respond to emails and web inquiries, providing information and guidance to assist students through enrollment.
Recruitment Activities:
- Develop and nurture relationships with prospective students, applicants, and admitted students through targeted recruiting activities.
- Plan and participate in on-campus and off-campus recruiting events, college fairs, and high school visits to showcase the benefits of attending Winston-Salem State University.
Application Assistance:
- Guide prospective students through the application process, offering clear and comprehensive information about admission requirements, deadlines, and procedures.
- Provide personalized support to ensure each student's application is complete and submitted on time.
Enrollment Support:
- Assist students from application to enrollment, helping them navigate the steps needed to join the Winston-Salem State University community.
- Address any concerns or questions, making the transition to college as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Decision Authority:
- Review and evaluate applications, using your expertise to make informed acceptance decisions that are in accordance with our institutional standards and criteria.
Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions and recruitment activities in our CRM system.
- Track and report on enrollment metrics, helping identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, such as financial aid, academic advising, and student services, to provide a holistic support system for prospective students.
- Contribute to a collaborative and positive team environment, sharing insights and strategies for successful recruitment.
