Overview

The Technical Operations Specialist is a strategic and technical leader responsible for ensuring operational excellence, data integrity, and seamless execution across implementation and production phases. This role serves as a critical liaison between clients, internal teams, and technical stakeholders, driving change management, solution implementation, and the development of robust data warehousing solutions. You will manage the full data lifecycle, from initial preparation, mapping, and enrichment to integration with the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), while proactively identifying enhancements and delivering innovative, solution-oriented outcomes.



Responsibilities

* Lead Data Integration & Warehousing: Oversee client data onboarding and integration projects, including the design and development of warehousing solutions that support scalability and performance.

* Change Management Execution: Drive change management initiatives by assessing impacts, coordinating implementation plans, and ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.

* Solution Implementation: Identify operational challenges and implement technical solutions that optimize workflows, improve data quality, and enhance client experience.

* Technical Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between external clients, internal business units, developers, and IT teams to ensure alignment and clarity.

* Requirements Translation: Convert business and data requirements into detailed functional mapping specifications for data warehouse environments.

* Documentation & Governance: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including operational runbooks, data mapping guides, and process workflows.

* Data Quality Assurance: Conduct exploratory data analysis, troubleshoot discrepancies, and enforce rigorous data validation and testing protocols.

* Reporting & Insights: Develop and deliver operational reports and dashboards using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL to support data-driven decision-making.

* Issue Management: Monitor, escalate, and resolve data irregularities while ensuring compliance and integrity across systems.

* System Enhancement: Collaborate with IT to identify system development needs, address technical challenges, and prioritize enhancements.

* Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate processes, and enhance service delivery.

* Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to manage priorities and competing deadlines effectively.

* Client Advocacy: Champion the voice of the customer, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded through proactive communication and execution.



Qualifications

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

* Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance or a related industry with strong analytical responsibilities.

* Proven success in leading client data implementations, managing full data lifecycle processes, and executing change management initiatives.

* Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on data quality, process improvement, and solution delivery.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, Power BI, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SQL.

* Familiarity with database processing techniques, APIs, and relational database principles.

* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

* Strong organizational and time management skills; adept at handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

* Professional demeanor with excellent presentation and client service skills.

* Passion for leveraging data insights to optimize processes and drive innovation.

* Willingness to travel as needed.

The expected salary range for this role is $58,500-$90,000/year.
