Overview

This position is responsible for supervising the workflow of the team. Supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to Leadership. This person will contribute to the efficiency of the department by reviewing and improving processes and keeping the team in line with the overall company goals.



Responsibilities

    Assigning Operations on Bank Report for Treasury
  • Assigning batches
  • Ensuring batches balance back to extract report
  • Reporting data on "Chair Side Reviews-cash"
  • Assist Director with reporting information on cash received.
  • Review Bank Code Daily Totals to assist staff with issues.
  • Coaching team
  • Performance improvement plans where necessary.
  • Ensure all new and current team members are getting necessary training to achieve goals.
  • Meets with Leadership to discuss high level issues and successes as requested.
  • Handles HR issues with the help of the management as needed.
  • Employee Performance Reviews
  • Interviews
  • Measurement: DSO, Cash batches all being closed prior to month end. Chair side reviews resulting in reeducation of posting errors.


Qualifications

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent, associate degree or higher preferred.
  • At least 2 years' experience in cash application.
  • At least 2 years' insurance and/or federally funded programs, researching agings and claims preferred.
  • Experience in reading and understanding remits (explanation of benefits) for denial reasons.
  • Experience with State billing portals preferred.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and ability to research various payor audit requirements.
  • Computer experience is essential, including, but not limited to: Excel, practice management software, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships with Staff and various Insurance payers.
  • Responsible use of confidential information and HIPAA policies.
  • Perform to company standards of compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task and work courteously and respectfully with fellow employees, management, and payors.
  • Must be able to read. Must have strong/professional communication skills (email and phone). Must understand conditions of payment. Must have Microsoft Excel skills. Self-starter and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Travel up to 25%
