Job Description

This position is based in Rolla a small town of nearly 21,000 residents in central Missouri. Located near the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, the Phelps County area is home to beautiful hiking trails, trout fishing, canoeing and an abundance of local wineries and breweries. Natural beauty abounds with plenty of opportunities for peaceful solitude. Located an hour and a half from St. Louis, Springfield and Columbia, there are many alternatives for all the resources of the city while having a peaceful place to call home. This position is onsite 8am-5pm M-F, and may be periodically required to work after-hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as required to meet the needs of our customers. This may include managing impactful incidents, maintenance events, or project implementations. Primarily on campus, with flexibility for remote or hybrid work as approved.

Nature of work: Develops, maintains, and supports audiovisual (AV) and digital display systems used throughout the university. Functions include installation, configuration, and maintenance of classroom and conference room technology; digital signage management; integration of AV and IT systems; and support for control systems and cloud-based management. Employees in this job ensure reliable presentation, conferencing, and instructional technology experiences across campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position requires a working knowledge of AV systems, networking, and remote management tools
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues is required
  • The Ideal candidate should be able to support multiple assignments and contribute to maintenance schedules and documentation
  • Be able to operate independently on routine tasks and collaborate with others to complex problem solving

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of technical principles and methods of computers and peripherals
  • Ability to integrate basic principles of discipline with processes and procedures
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues
  • Ability to manage multiple support assignments
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant certifications preferred
  • Working knowledge of AV systems, networking and remote management tools
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.50 to $26.87 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
