NRI Legal Resources has been exclusively retained to identify qualified candidates for a Client Service Specialist (Legal Secretary) position on behalf of a prestigious, globally recognized law firm. This opportunity is based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office and focuses on providing high-level litigation support.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative, high-performance legal team serving a sophisticated client base, including multinational corporations and financial institutions.

Position Overview:

The Client Service Specialist will provide comprehensive administrative and client service support to attorneys, facilitating efficient legal practice operations and exceptional service delivery. This role is integral to litigation case management and administrative coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular in-office presence to foster a collaborative and efficient support environment.

  • Coordinate legal tasks, litigation support, and administrative projects for attorneys and clients.

  • Manage time entry, expense reporting, client billing, meeting scheduling, and matter opening processes.

  • Draft, format, and edit legal documents and correspondence in English and Spanish.

  • File legal documents with appropriate courts or agencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Collaborate with internal resources (Document Services, Finance, Practice Support, etc.) across multiple offices to execute assignments.

  • Support and monitor the client billing process, including applying billing codes, proofreading, processing rate adjustments, write-offs, and maintaining billing protocol compliance.

  • Maintain accurate records in the document management system and facilitate best practices in file organization and task tracking.

  • Manage attorneys' calendars, travel arrangements, and daily workflow support needs.

  • Work overtime when required and provide support on additional firm projects as needed.
