Manufacturing Technician - 2nd Shift

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Maintain material safety, accuracy and efficiency through process support and continuous improvement efforts

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functional
* Assist with market and receiving maintenance orders and submissions related to equipment and assets.
* Conduct minor repairs and/or assembly to department assets and equipment.
* Assist with Kanban replacement and creation. To include bin and rack creation, alteration, and labeling.
* Create visual aids to improve material handling process.
* Partner with the inventory team to identify and determine disposition of excess or obsolete parts (E&O Process).
* Assist in the development of current and future state value stream maps and continuous improvement plans forMaterials, as well as the implementation of those plans.
* Participate and/or lead Kaizen, 5S, Ergonomic, and Safety activities and daily GEMBA walks within Materials. Including resolution of RN card and Continuous Improvement card submissions.
* Sitewide involvement with all projects related to market part storage and delivery
* Assist with controlled maintenance of the PFEP at the work center and market levels and adjusts JD Edwards PFEPand the physical changes to support changes.

* Analyze proposed changes and assess the impact on day-to-day activity in material planning and inventory controlteams.
* Ensure familiarity with company policies and procedures.
* Develop relationships across business organizations.

JOB CRITERIA:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* HS Diploma or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years of experience in Production and Inventory Control, Material Handling, or Manufacturing
* PC skills and ERP knowledge (Business System Software such as JDE; Excel)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
* Knowledge of material flow processes
* Knowledge of basic hand tools paired with strong mechanical aptitude
* Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving
* Skill in communicating effectively through oral and written communications.
* Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances and can thrive in a constantly changing business
environment.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
