LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: Active Secret

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an F-35 Avionics Technician located at Eglin AFB, FL This position provides support to the 96 Cyberspace Test Group, 48 Cybersecurity Test Squadron. Astrion has worked extensively with the Department of Defense executing a Technical Management and Advisory Service contract where it has earned a reputation for on-time delivery of high-quality products tailored to the needs of its clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Current Secret Clearance with the Ability to Obtain Top Secret Clearance.
  • Master's Degree and at least 10 years of Avionics focused experience ideally in aircraft and weapons discipline. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
  • Working knowledge of Aircraft Avionics systems and subsystems.
  • Experience coordinating with flightline personnel to meet mission requirements.
  • Experience with 5th Generation aircraft like the F-35.
  • Experience with project logistics by managing and balancing project resources across multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience securing adequate resources needed by the teams to meet schedule

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • 10+ years of related, proven experience in technical management.
  • 7+ years of related, proven experience in technical management overseeing complex, multi-team projects of similar scale to the Contractor's proposed effort.
  • Proven experience leading teams to develop new and existing products, solutions, and processes.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to express technical ideas to senior decision makers.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience working Government programs with controlled engineering baselines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide troubleshooting capabilities for a dedicated cyber test aircraft before, during, and after all testing events.
  • Collaborate with lead Program Manager to create and control the long-range utilization efforts for the assigned aircraft
  • Coordinate repairs with local and non-local agencies to maintain all health statuses on the F-35 assigned aircraft
  • Advise and assist with the planning and schedule to ensure a successful test resource is established that will meet the needs of the F-35 JPO.
