Summary

Actively work with the Product & Inventory Control Manager to assure the correct purchase and scheduling of products from internal and/or external suppliers to optimize inventories and deliver to customers with a high fill rate (+95%).
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate management of purchase schedules firm and planned delivered to suppliers within the boundaries of the logistics agreements established
  • Process purchase schedules on the frequency defined; daily, weekly, bi-weekly, etc.
  • Collaborate with the sales team both field and customer service to coordinate customer delivery at expected fill rates
  • Work with the Master Scheduler & Planner Supervisor to improve administrative process of ordering material from internal and external suppliers
  • Comply with supplier requirements regarding lead times, multiple order quantities, as called out in established logistics agreements.
  • Participate in the analysis review of ABC inventory classifications, obsolescence evaluations, and product changes to optimize inventory levels
  • Communicate with the distribution operations regarding inbound material
  • Develop and produce reports as required for key performance indicators of supplier delivery, supplier ppm, and SCIP (Supplier Continuous Improvement Process)
  • Scheduling and planning for manufacturing parts/kits


Qualifications

Qualifications / Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years minimum experience in purchasing and supply processes/systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong technical knowledge of ERP systems applications desired
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • APICS Certification preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (less than 10%)
