Job Description

The Cyber Resilience and Risk Governance Lead is responsible for overseeing and challenging the management of critical and high-impact cyber risks and issues across the enterprise. This role leverages AI and automation to streamline the risk and issue lifecycle, including the intelligent automation of risk registers and supporting documentation. Working closely with business, technical, and legal stakeholders, the Governance Lead develops and executes governance frameworks, metrics, and escalation protocols that promote proactive risk awareness and cyber resilience. The role also includes conducting forensic audits, interpreting regulatory requirements, and mentoring team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in cyber governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the oversight and challenge function for critical and high-impact cyber risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation, resolution, and alignment with enterprise risk appetite and cyber resiliency objectives
  • Design and implement AI and automation solutions to streamline the risk and issue management lifecycle, including automated risk register updates, classification, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with business and technical leaders to define governance plans, performance metrics, and escalation protocols that embed cyber resiliency into operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct ongoing and forensic audits of governance processes to assess compliance, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements. Use data analytics to track trends and inform leadership.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to interpret and apply regulatory, contractual, and industry requirements to cyber risk governance. Ensure documentation and controls reflect current obligations.
  • Use intelligent automation to ensure supporting materials (e.g., risk treatment plans, issue logs, mitigation strategies) are consumable, contextually linked to governance frameworks, and easy to maintain.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights and reporting to business and technical leadership on risk posture, issue trends, and governance effectiveness. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and challenge.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of proactive risk management and cyber resilience. Lead by example in adopting innovative technologies and governance practices.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in cybersecurity governance, risk management, or operational resilience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in developing and operationalizing cyber resiliency governance models, escalation protocols, and performance metrics aligned with enterprise risk appetite.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with AI-driven automation for risk registers, workflows, and documentation.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience leveraging Gen AI tools.
  • CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience communicating effectively with resources of all levels, including frontline support.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 95,700.00 - 170,925.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
