Position Title: Fishers Center Events CoordinatorCompensation: $16.50 - 17.84Department: Satellite CentersStart Date: 02/02/2026About this opportunity: The Fishers Center for Ball State's Lifetime Learning Division welcomes applications for Fishers Centers Event Coordinator. This position is located in Fishers, Indiana, on-site at the Fishers Center.Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the United States without employer sponsorship. What you'll do and what you'll bring: Position Function:
In coordination with other Fishers Center staff help manage events in the Fishers Center. The position will provide coverage at the Fishers Center including covering the front desk and during center events. The position will work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends to cover center events.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Provide coverage to the front desk area of the Fishers Center including greeting guests and directing them to the appropriate area.
2. Serve as a lead staff member for Fishers Center events providing center coverage during events and assisting clients as needed during events.
3. Support center events by setting up rooms and technology, setting up catering, assisting with center access (opening & closing duties), and ensure common areas and restrooms remain presentable (for example: remove small trash bags, replace paper towel rolls) while providing superior customer service to center guests.
4. Provide technical support for the center during events assisting guest with technology needs (TV monitors/Printers/Wi-Fi/Virtual Tools).
5. Serve as a Manager of Duty to provide coverage during events in the Director's and Center Manager's absence.
6. Provide administrative support for other members of the Fishers Center team.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.
