Job Description

The Senior Human Resources Manager & Labor Relations provides strategic HR leadership and serves as the primary labor relations partner for the organization. This role oversees HR operations, employee relations, labor negotiations, and compliance across multiple sites, allocating approximately 40% of time supporting a secondary facility to ensure alignment, consistency, and strong HR partnership across both locations. This position plays a critical role in strengthening workplace culture, driving HR strategy, and supporting union and non-union environments in alignment with Stratas Foods' values and operational objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR leadership and coaching to HR teams at two locations, ensuring alignment and consistency. Spend approximately 40% of time at the secondary location to support HR operations, investigations, and labor relations.
  • Partner with Plant Managers and cross-functional teams to support strategic priorities.
  • Drive HR capability building, engagement, and development across both sites.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a consultative partner to leaders regarding workforce planning and organization design.
  • Support continuous improvement and change management activities.
  • Negotiate collective bargaining agreements.
  • Manage union relationships, grievances, and contract interpretation.
  • Work with leadership to align labor strategies with business needs.
  • Lead employee relations investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Guide leaders in corrective action, coaching, and performance-related matters.
  • Promote a positive employee culture across both sites.
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain policy consistency and oversee HR documentation and audit readiness.
  • Oversee performance reviews and employee development planning.
  • Ensure consistency in documentation and calibration across sites.
  • Partner with L&D to support training completion and leadership development.
  • Ensure readiness of new hires through site-specific onboarding.
  • Analyze HR trends, turnover, grievances, staffing, and labor metrics.:
  • Prepare reporting and recommendations for leadership.
Qualifications

Education:Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field is required; Master's preferred.

Experience: 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including labor relations and multi-site support. Strong working knowledge of labor law, compliance, and collective bargaining. Leadership experience supporting manufacturing or industrial preferred.

Equipment/Software Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook; Proficiency with HRIS platforms and HR data analysis.

  • Travel between sites required (approximately 40%).
  • Extended hours may be required for negotiations or urgent HR matters
  • Ability to navigate plant environments with varying noise and temperature levels.
  • Bi-lingual English / Spanish is preferred

Language: Bilingual English Spanish is preferred

Salary range: $140,922 - 176,153

Annual Bonus Incentive: 15%
