Registered Nurse - Wound Care Clinic (Per Diem, Day Shift)
MaineHealth Wound Care Clinic - Portland, Maine

MaineHealth Wound Care Clinic in Portland, Maine is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our growing, fast-paced team. This role provides direct, on-site patient care for individuals with a wide range of acute and chronic wound conditions.

Position Details:

  • Per diem position

  • Day shift

  • Monday-Friday clinical setting (no weekends or nights)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with various types of wounds

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary wound care team

  • Perform wound assessments, treatments, and patient education

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with standards of care

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine

  • Prior wound care experience strongly preferred

  • Strong clinical skills, organization, and attention to detail

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment

Summary:
The Registered Nurse II - Ambulatory Care-MH PD role uses professional nursing processes to assess the needs of patients and families calling or presenting for care in the physician office and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification require or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: One year of RN experience required. Two years of relevant experience preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse I - Ambulatory Care role.
