Job Description

Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort is seeking a Line Cook to join our culinary team in Hilton Head Island, SC. This role is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality menu items according to Omni standards while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and food safety. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen, takes pride in quality and presentation, and is flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior kitchen or line cook experience is preferred, along with basic knowledge of cooking techniques and sanitation. Responsibilities

    Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards

  • Ensure food quality, freshness, and proper temperature control at all times

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations

  • Assist with food prep, stocking, and station setup prior to service

  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures

  • Work collaboratively with culinary leadership and fellow associates to support efficient kitchen operations

  • Assist with inventory control and minimize food waste

  • Adhere to all Omni policies, procedures, and service culture standards



Qualifications

  • Previous line cook or culinary experience preferred

  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Must be flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays

  • This position requires standing for long periods, exposure to heat, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented kitchen setting.
