About the Opportunity: We're looking for an experienced 2nd shift Machinist, who has completed a CNC Machining Program. You will have the opportunity to work with an inspiring team of experienced Machinists and Engineers Location: Newburyport, MA. This position is 100% onsite. Responsibilities: Performs minor set-ups and operates EDM machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed. Makes all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blue print specifications/sketches. Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application. Inspects work for all dimensional features as required. Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements. Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc. according to Company policy. Performs duties exercising good machining practices at all times. Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets. Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalency certified required. 2-4 years or more of Machining background and/or experience in a machine shop. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis. Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations. Preferred Qualifications: Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches. Must have demonstrated mechanical ability. Must have a minimum of one year of experience as a CNC operator. Troubleshooting Skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Working Conditions: Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment. Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk. Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Compensation: In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $27-32 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, and geographic location.
