Description and Requirements
Lenovo Technical Solution Delivery team is searching for a highly capable and hands-on Solutions Architect / Business Systems Engineer based in the United States. This critical role will serve as the technical engine ensuring that our internal IT platforms and externally marketed products are built with stringent corporate Functional requirements deeply integrated into their core architecture. The ideal candidate will bridge the strategic gap between corporate standards and technical implementation, often contributing directly to the design, prototyping, and code reviews, with a focus on entering ROW market for Corp Function solutions (AI or non-AI solutions).

Key Responsibilities

1. Hands-on Architecture & Implementation

  • System Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of highly available, scalable, and legally compliant features within core enterprise IT systems (e.g., Contract Lifecycle Management, GRC, Data Privacy platforms).
  • Prototyping & Code Contribution: Directly engage in proof-of-concepts (POCs), module development, and deep code reviews to ensure technical implementations precisely satisfy complex specifications and meet performance standards.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions, including those utilizing advanced analytics and AI, to enhance the efficiency and compliance posture of Lenovo's Corp function operations.

2. Global Compliance & Product Transformation

  • Corp function -Technical Translation: Work directly with Lenovo Corporate Function Teams to interpret U.S. and global statutes (GDPR, CCPA, SOX, etc.) and translate them into concrete technical designs, APIs, data models, and workflow specifications.
  • Market Design Vetting (AP & Europe Focus): Provide critical technical leadership in designing and positioning self-developed applications for external customer needs in key markets, especially Asia-Pacific (AP) and Europe, ensuring compliance is engineered into the product from conception.
  • Compliance Engineering: Define and enforce technical best practices for security, data handling, and privacy-by-design across all relevant systems to manage global regulatory risk.

3. Market Design Vetting (AP & Europe Focus)

  • Provide critical technical leadership in designing and positioning self-developed applications for external customer needs in key markets, especially Asia-Pacific (AP) and Europe, ensuring compliance is engineered into the product from conception.

4. Technical Presentations

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the SSG Sales team, delivering compelling technical and solution presentations to potential external customers, focusing on how our products meet the customer needs.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years in Software Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or a Senior Systems role
  • 2+ years of demonstrable hands-on experience designing and building systems for Corporate Function in Legal, HR, Finance or highly regulated industries.
  • Expertise in at least one major programming language (Java, Python) and related frameworks used for enterprise development.
  • Deep experience with Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, mainstream Microservice platforms) and implementing services related to legal, data governance, through microservice architectures.
  • AI/Generative AI Familiarity: Working knowledge of applying advanced analytics and AI/ML concepts (including LLMs/Generative AI) to corporate functions like legal research, contract management, or process automation. The candidate must be able to architect systems that responsibly and compliantly utilize these technologies.
  • Proficient with database design (SQL/NoSQL) and integration technologies (APIs, messaging queues). Having the advanced knowledge and deep understand of the emerging technologies such as GAG, Langgraph, MCP and A2A architectures.
  • Proven experience in a technical presales, solution consultant, or sales engineering role, supporting enterprise sales cycles.
Preferred Experience
  • Communication & Presentation: Exceptional public speaking, presentation, and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical and legal value propositions clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to build trusted technical advisor relationships with external clients.
  • Global Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth, working knowledge of the technical implementation of GDPR, CCPA, and key AP region data/privacy laws.
  • Practical experience integrating or customizing Legal Tech platforms (CLM, ELM, eDiscovery, etc).
  • Native English language speaking is must, plus optional of Mandarin / Cantonese.
