Description Perform maintenance and construction work on the college physical facilities. Description of Essential Functions (critical tasks) Essential Job Functions: Operation of Power Plant and associated equipment. Record keeping on water treatment chillers generators and power plant equipment. Perform all types of repairs on mechanical electrical pneumatic and HVAC equipment. Required to keep facilities in operation and good repair. Assist in determining needs and submit purchase requests for parts and equipment. Assist in planning and carrying out of maintenance preventive maintenance and construction programs. Other related duties as assigned. Specific Functional Job Requirements Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized maintenance training. Experience Requirements: Three years in maintenance. Must be able to obtain a class D license. Knowledge: Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry trades and state and local building code requirements through experience and/or specialized training. Knowledge of Energy Management computer and HVAC controls. Skills: Ability to perform electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry work. Personal Requirements: Ability to get along with others.
