Responsibilities

Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and Outpatient Services program dedicated to healing patients' minds and bodies. Our team of board-certified psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, and nursing provide individualized continuum of care treatment in a stigma-free environment for adults 18 years and older.

The Director of Intake is responsible for overseeing the Inpatient hospitals assessment and referral activities. As a clinician, this position provides direction and oversight to a team of Intake Therapists and RNs in the provision of psychiatric assessment services, clinical evaluations, nursing assessments, crisis intervention, and external provider referrals. This position interfaces closely with the medical team, nursing, leadership, external case managers, referral sources, and managed care organizations and functions as a liaison with hospital emergency departments.


Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a clinically related mental health field or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Clinical licensure (i.e. LPC, LCSW, LMFT) preferred; a Master's Degree and working to obtain licensure is required. For RNs current Oregon Registered Nurse License required.
  • 3 to 5 years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting. 2 years of recent leadership experience in behavioral health or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of addiction and recovery, clinical interviewing, patient assessment, and treatment planning.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Successful completion of Handle with Care and Service Excellence training within 30 days of hire.
  • May be required to work evenings and weekends and maintain flexible hours.
  • Travel may be required from time to time.
