Major/Essential Functions


  • Serve as a college liaison to address requests by students, staff, faculty, and administrators that require guidance and/or affirmation concerning student academic records, university policies, procedures and practices.
  • Maintain student academic records, ensure all pertinent data and academic history is accurately reflected in Banner, Degree Works and Xtender.
  • Establish and examine relevant preliminary and final student record audits to ensure academic record is aligned to degree program requirements to determine eligibility for graduation.
  • Maintain reports to validate records on degree completion, degree progress, student enrollment, and graduation over time.
  • Help organize and facilitate the Graduate School activities during all graduate student commencement ceremonies.
  • Provide support for Graduate School events, including the annual Fellowship Reception, the Arts and Humanities Conference, the Graduate Research Poster Competition, and the Three-Minute Thesis Competition.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Strong ability in oral/written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize work assignments for effective and expeditious completion.
  • Ability to interpret institutional policies/plans/objectives/rules/regulations and to communicate the interpretation to others.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in admission, evaluation, student services, or experience in a related area; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal six years.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Working knowledge of Texas Tech's credit system.
  • Working knowledge of international education systems.
