| Job Description Summary |
The Nazareth University Department of Social Work announces the opportunity to join a collegial team of department faculty who value contributions to the success of students and the Department. The University and Department of Social Work invite applications for a full time, visiting position to begin January 2026.
Located in the College of Interprofessional Health and Human Services, the Social Work Department provides a strong sense of community and includes over 250 undergraduate and graduate students. Please see the Nazareth University Social Work Department website for a full description of the Department.
The successful candidate will have the ability to teach across the social work curriculum. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, advisement, curriculum development, and service to the Department and University.

| Essential Functions |

| Required Education, Experience, Technology and Skills |
Applicants must possess an
MSW from a
CSWE accredited program. Two years post-
MSW practice experience is required. Candidates must be eligible to obtain
LMSW (minimum) in the state of New York and be able to teach across the social work curriculum. Applicants must have previous teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level in social work. The candidate must have excellent organization skills as well as verbal and written communication skills. |
| Preferred Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills |
Applicants from historically underrepresented populations are strongly encouraged to apply. A history of effective work with diverse groups desired. Experience with assessment, curriculum development, technology, developing and delivering hybrid and online courses, and the potential for social work leadership in the department and community preferred. |
