Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Instructor: * Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing or equivalent education as a physician's assistant. * Licensed, or license-eligible to practice professional advanced nursing in Colorado, for PAs, Physician Assistant Certificate. * Registration, or ability to register with a State Board Agency of Nursing as an Advanced/Family Practice Nurse or Physician's Assistant * 1-3 years pediatric experience Sr. Instructor: * Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing or equivalent education as a physician's assistant. * Licensed, or license-eligible to practice professional advanced nursing in Colorado, for PAs, Physician Assistant Certificate. * Registration with a State Board Agency of Nursing as an Advanced/Family Practice Nurse or Physician's Assistant * 5 years pediatric experience Condition of Employment: * Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado * Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check *For questions regarding Children's Hospital drug testing requirements, please contact Children's Human Resources at 720-777-8598. Preferred Qualifications: * One to three years pediatric experience * One to three years, sleep, pediatric pulmonary or neurology experience * Prescriptive Authority * Experience with non-invasive ventilation interfaces and modalities a plus * Experience with XLTEK sleep software * Inpatient experience a plus * Familiarity with electronic medical record, email, and other medical technologies Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Knowledge appropriate for individuals completing APN or PA School * Pediatric clinical assessment skills * Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. |
