Job Summary

The anticipated duration of this temporary assignment is eight months; possibility of extension.

Involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data. Designs and conducts research including selecting data samples, developing research instruments, analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods, and developing recommendations based on research findings. Prepares reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and results.

Department Description

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or PhD in epidemiology, public health, or related area.
• Thorough knowledge of cryo-EM data analysis.
• Thorough skills associated with cryo-EM reconstruction and data validation processes programming systems used in reconstruction procedures.
• Thorough skills in analysis and consultation.
• Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Skills in project management.
• Research skills at a level to evaluate alternate solutions and develop recommendations.
