Job Description




As a Security Officer - Commercial Estate Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol commercial real estate properties, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, providing outstanding customer service, and communicating clearly with visitors and tenants. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and/or employees with directions and information as requested.
  • Document and communicate incidents, observations, and/or daily activities according to Allied Universal procedures.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal personnel to address security-related needs and concerns specific to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
