HDR is looking for a Pipeline Condition Assessment Analyst for water and wastewater projects. This position may be based out of any of the following HDR offices in NC: Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Asheville, or Raleigh.

On a day-to-day basis, this individual will be expected to:

* Maintain proficiency and advise clients in National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) standards, ensuring compliance and accurate assessment of municipal gravity sewer systems.

* Interpret and analyze Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) inspection data to evaluate the condition of sewer pipelines accurately.

* Assess the structural integrity of sewer systems, identifying defects like cracks, fractures, and corrosion, and providing recommendations for repair or maintenance.

* Identify the root causes of sewer system issues, such as infiltration and inflow (I&I), pipe deterioration, and joint failures, to develop targeted solutions.

* Recommend rehabilitation strategies, including trenchless technologies and traditional repair methods, to extend the life of sewer systems and minimize disruptions.

* Develop asset management plans for municipal sewer systems, optimize maintenance schedules, and reduce long-term operational costs.

* Utilize data analytics and GIS tools to support evidence-based decision-making processes, ensuring efficient resource allocation for sewer system maintenance.

* Understand federal, state, and local regulations related to sewer systems and ensure municipal clients remain in compliance with all applicable laws.

* Conduct risk assessments to prioritize maintenance and repair projects, taking into account factors like pipeline condition, criticality, and budget constraints.

* Translate complex technical findings into actionable recommendations, communicating with municipal clients and stakeholders to facilitate informed decisions and secure funding for sewer system improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

* Post-secondary degree in engineering, GIS, construction, or related field

* 5 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry

* National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP), Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP) Certified, and Lateral Assessment Certification Program (LACP) Certified

* Experience with sewer inspection and asset management software (GraniteNET, ITpipes, WinCan, Pioneer, AztecaCityworks, Cartegraph)

* Local candidates are preferred

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in plant operations
