Office of Human Resources, System Job Description
Responsibilities 40% Administration of benefit continuation and premium billing and collection for employees on a university approved Leave of Absence including but not limited to medical leave of absence and long-term disability, and faculty and staff on layoff status. Knowledge of policies, research of information, data verification, identification of discrepancies and solutions, and interaction with customers, other departments, and vendors is essential. * Review weekly reports to determine new invoices, create customer numbers within the Finance system and calculate premiums amount to invoice 40% Responsible for administrative processing including premium auditing upon employee returning to work from leave. * Submit and process appropriate notices regarding premium contributions 10% Provide tier two customer service support and problem-solving regarding benefit plan, eligibility, deadlines and processes. 10% Identify and streamline processes for benefit administration as well as work with cross-functional teams to identify improvements to processes that cross between functional areas. Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three years of human resources office experience demonstrating knowledge of basic employment laws, exceptional customer service and organizational skills. Excel spreadsheet skills with experience with v-lookup and pivot tables is preferred, attention to detail, accuracy and ability to follow through independently. PeopleSoft experience is helpful. Team player with interpersonal, customer service and communication skills. Proven analytic and problem- solving skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Works autonomously and uses sound judgment. Familiarity with university systems and human resources policies or equivalent. Anticipated Hiring Range
