The Leidos Navy and Marine Corps Business Area is seeking an energetic and dynamic Sr. Solutions Architect in San Diego, CA.

POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Sr. Solutions Architect, you will support the BA CTO across all technology initiatives of the Navy Marine Corps BA. You will specifically lead technical solution design/implementation for CANES, NAVWAR initiatives, Navy Cloud Brokerages across NIWC PAC, NIWC LANT, NAVSEA and NAVAIR as well as Marine Corps and IndoPACOM customers. In this role, you will need to regularly interface with internal and external partners to develop and design solutions to respond to and meet RFx requirements. Your engagement and participation will extend to include planning Leidos Innovation Days, attending/participating and speaking at Industry and Partner Conferences, supporting pilot and IRAD projects.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
Must have an active DoD Top Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.

PRIMARY LEAD INNOVATION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead solution design and architecture for Navy/MC experiment activities (RIMPAC, Trident Warrior and related test activities and table top exercises) to define our solution that meet and exceed experiment/activity requirements.
  • Conduct AoA on technologies, solutions and defend approach as part of a formal board review, and/or document whitepaper/deliverable.
  • Manage up to 70% time and allocation to support BD/capture activities, Marketing campaigns for bid/proposal activities, engaging customers to understand OTA, RIMPAC exercise requirements for all activities contributing to overall BA win/success rate.
  • Research and stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in AI/ML, GenAI and software development/automation technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CHO-IRAD, S/W, AI and Cyber accelerators, Practices) to determine opportunities for implementing new innovation, incorporating Leidos solutions across Navy, Marine Corps and IndoPACOM opportunities.
  • Maintain, collaborate on a regular basis with Practices, CHO-IRAD, S/W, AI and Cyber accelerators, external partners (including ISVs, CSPs, emerging tech partners) on pipeline opportunities, solutions to introduce to Navy and Marine Corps customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university and 15+ years of direct work experience; other level of degrees may be considered based on related experience.
  • Strong background in the full software development lifecycle, including systems engineering, software development, integration, and testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and integrate AI/ML tools into business processes, particularly in the software development and testing domains.
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks, tools, and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.) as well as integration into enterprise software environments.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and data analytics.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation in software engineering.
  • Experience with multiple software development methodologies and how AI can be applied to these frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technology concepts in clear, accessible language.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams across multiple departments and geographic locations.
  • Ability to lead the change management process and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with automation testing tools and frameworks.
