| Position Summary |
The position is responsible for overseeing financial processes such as students petitioning for in-state residency for tuition purposes, employees requesting tuition waivers through the Tuition Assistance Program (
TAP), and other financial-related processes/waivers that involve registration, withdrawing, etc. This also includes supervision of a full-time employee that assists with these processes. The position coordinates state and internal financial audits related to these processes. The position performs this leadership role with independence and autonomy, and the decisions made by this position have significant financial implications for the university. |

Responsible for In-State Tuition Classification Petition Process and other Tuition Waiver/Exemption Processes
- Primary contact and subject matter expert for the process for students petitioning for in-state residency for tuition purposes.
- Ensure petition application and documentation meet USG policies and requirements.
- Process decisions made regarding in-state residency petitions.
- Coordinate the in-state residency review group.
- Stay abreast of changes to USG policies that affect tuition classification.
- Process tuition waivers and student attributes.
- Coordinate with various units on campus for receipt of student attributes affecting tuition and fees.
- Attend applicable USG conferences and workshops.
- Collaborate with Student Accounts and Financial Aid on waiver issues and establishing best practices.
- Provide data for Vice President for Instruction and USG officials as needed.
- Provide materials for financial audits.
- Maintain the institution's tuition classification manual.
- Supervise employee that assists with administrative responsibilities for tuition waivers.

Responsible for Tuition Assistance Program (
TAP)
- Serves as the University's primary contact and coordinate for the USG's Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).
- Audit processed TAP forms.
- Input TAP waivers into the student information system.
- Work with Payroll and Bursar to compile and reconcile TAP reports for the USG.
- Liaise with other TAP coordinators within the USG.
- Stay abreast of changes to the TAP program.
- Supervise employee that provides assistance with the TAP process.
